LPC6000 DELETION PEN FOR LASER POLYESTER PLATES
Burnishine collaborated with a major US laser plate distributor to formulate a deletion pen that works well on laser polyester plates. To give you some background, about a year ago, other manufacturers decided to discontinue making their laser plate pens. This left a big void in the market. Printers who were used to using pens found they now had to remake plates. And remaking plates is time-consuming and expensive. We believed it was important for customers to have a pen that worked well and could save them time and money.

LPC6000 deletion pen is made to the same high standards as our CTP1000 deletion pen, KP4 deletion pen for baked Kodak plates, FBP3000 deletion pen for Fuji baked plates, and IBF5000 deletion pen for IBF’s most popular CtP plates.
LPC6000 features the same premier barrel construction, sealed end caps and durable tips that won’t break down from chemicals in the pen. As with our other pens, the durable nylon chiseled tip gives long-lasting performance, and helps reduce evaporation. This helps extend the life of the pen and saves printers money. LPC6000 is a one-tip pen which is perfect for most deletions.
LPC6000 deletion pen works quickly, is easy to use, and can be used to make deletion on press. As with all our deletion pens, it’s important to use gentle pressure when making deletions. You do not need to exert excessive pressure. As we’ve noted in other pen blogs, applying too much pressure can damage the plate. Damaged plates can tone on the press or can necessitate making a new plate. Excessive pressure can also damage the tip causing premature wear.
Smaller unwanted images can be deleted with one application, which can take up to 20 seconds. Larger areas may need a second application. Be sure to wipe the plate off with a damp cloth after making any deletion. Gold Miracle is an excellent plate prep and is recommended for cleaning, conditioning, and removing scratches from laser polyester plates.
